In the Church

Acts 6 Initiative  

There are so many people in our church who have great needs. Through this team, we get the opportunity to help meet those needs right in our church community.

Mosaic Together 

Welcoming a child through foster care or adoption can be very isolating. This team provides support and provides for practical needs that these families have. This is a year-long commitment.

IN THE COMMUNITY

Parkview Food Bank 

The mission of Parkview Missions is to restore the lives of families and communities by building relationships and providing life-changing resources. Through various initiatives, Parkview Missions provides food and clothing for those in need in the Lynchburg area. As a church, we get to partner with this organization by serving alongside them in community projects.

Volunteer Numbers: 15-20  

What the volunteer will do: Volunteers will need to pick up products weighing 25-50lb. Volunteers will be making connections with people who walk into the pantry and serve them by assisting them while they shop for food. Volunteers will need to be comfortable with being on his/her feet for a couple of hours.

Parkview Clothing Pantry

Volunteer Number: 3-6 

What the volunteer will do: Helping individuals shop for clothes and connect with them. Will need to be comfortable being on his/her feet for a couple of hours.  

World Help 

You can play a vital role in sending help to people in need worldwide. World Help receives more than 1 million pieces of donated clothing, medical equipment, packages of food, and other lifesaving aid each year.

What the volunteers will do: The volunteers will do a variety of things that the people at World Help need help with. They are accommodating with kids and the family serving together.

Group leader training is now sent once a month as an email through the Hub leader account. You can read the archive there as well.

Bible Engagement Project has a series of short training videos for group leaders.

Christmas Eve Services
Join us on December 24 for our Christmas Eve services! We will have services at 4 pm and 6 pm. Come early before both services to hang out with other families and enjoy some Christmas treats and crafts. Childcare is available for 2 years and under for 4 pm service ONLY.
