Peace Begins Here | Week Two

Week 2 – Peace Begins Here: Reconciliation in Relationships
Scripture Focus: Luke 1:16–17, Ephesians 4:29–32
Main Idea
Peace begins with reconciliation, not just global harmony. Jesus came to turn hearts back toward each other, starting with the people closest to us.
Ice Breaker
What’s one word you would use to describe your family’s approach to conflict: avoidant, explosive, peaceful, humorous, etc.?
Scripture Reading
Read Luke 1:16–17 and Ephesians 4:29–32 aloud as a group.
Group Discussion Questions
- Where have you seen God bring healing in your own family or relationships?
- What does it mean that peace starts with reconciliation, not just calm feelings?
- Luke 1 speaks of God turning the hearts of parents to children. Why is healing generational relationships so central to God's plan of peace?
- In Ephesians 4:29–32, Paul lists things the Spirit replaces in our lives. Which one is most relevant to you right now silence, bitterness, or self-protection?
- What would it look like for you to move toward someone in your life with kindness, compassion, and forgiveness this week?
Next Step
Peace Begins Here: Take one step toward reconciliation.
Ask God to show you one person to move toward this week in love. Consider writing a note, making a call, starting a conversation, releasing a debt, or inviting someone to a Christmas service.
Prayer Focus
Close your group by praying this together:
"Jesus, turn my heart. Heal my family. Give me courage to take a step."
