Pastoral Transition Update | 01.26.2026

To our fellow believers at Waymaker.Church,

As we begin this sacred time of consecration, we come to you with a firm conviction that this week arrives at a divinely appointed moment for our church. As we move into a new season of leadership for Waymaker.Church, we want to ensure that each step is guided and directed by the Holy Spirit, and that we, as a people, submit ourselves to the path the Lord has laid before us. We know that His ways are good, and our future is secure in His hands. By focusing intently on preparing our hearts for this season, we allow the Lord to guide us, both personally and corporately, towards a strengthened faith and confidence in Him.

We join together as a community of faith under the banner of Jesus Christ in this Consecration Week, and we ask that you not diminish your own role in this next season for our church. As many of you know, God has called Pastor Jon Dupin and his family away to a new assignment. As a result, we have been actively engaged in identifying the next Lead Pastor for our church. As we begin to narrow the list of candidates for the role in the coming weeks, we ask this church to pray that the path will be clear for both the Elder Team and the future pastor. Pray that the calling will be evident for his family, and that there will be unity and affirmations from within his own home and community for this role.

Pray also against the Enemy, whose desire is for fear, chaos, and pride to prevent the effective witness of this Church. Pray that our church will be a testimony of unity and love for each other, a unity which is grounded in the truth of Scripture and empowered by the presence of the Holy Spirit.

Let this time of consecration serve as the start of a new season in your own life, toward a faith that is deeper and more real to you than it has ever been. We have confidence that Jesus will meet us in this moment and that His plans for us are good. While the unknown offers opportunities for trepidation, let us instead draw even closer to the God who, in the face of our uncertainty, reminds us that He loves us, saved us, and has a future for us that is beyond our imagination.

We love Waymaker.Church, and we are honored to join you in seeking the Lord this Consecration Week.

Sincerely,

The Elder Team
