Harvest Recast | Week Three

Opening

Ask Your Group:

  • Have you ever witnessed God work through you in a way that surprised or encouraged you?
  • When you experience spiritual breakthrough or success, what do you tend to celebrate most?

Then Ask:

  • Why do you think Jesus calls us to rejoice in our salvation more than our spiritual victories?
  • How can focusing on our identity in Christ affect how we respond to success or rejection in ministry?

Overview

Scripture: Luke 10:17–20

Main Idea

Rejoicing in God’s victory over demons is powerful—it shows His kingdom at work, builds our faith, and centers our focus. But Jesus teaches us to root our joy in something even greater: our eternal identity in Him.

Key Insight

Celebrating spiritual power without anchoring in eternal truth leads to misplaced identity, pride, and distorted worship. Jesus calls us to rejoice in our salvation—not just in ministry success.

Discussion Questions

Closing

Take time to pray together:
  • Thank God for victories you’ve seen—but give Him the glory, not yourself.
  • Ask the Holy Spirit to guard your heart from pride and performance-based identity.
  • Pray for deeper joy in your salvation and a greater hunger for God's eternal purposes.
  • Use Scripture to confess dependence, praise Jesus, and reaffirm your identity in Him.
